Squeezed out of KTM by Pedro Acosta’s arrival – a decision the ever-pragmatic Miller didn’t love but didn’t disagree with – the Australian was the final rider signed for the 2025 grid when old employer Pramac, with its new association with Yamaha, needed an experienced hand. Miller’s time with Honda, Ducati and KTM offered a walking database, while the chance to ride the YZR-M1 he’d admired from afar for years as a rival piqued his interest.
Miller’s stints with his previous employers typically started strongly as his raw talent saw him reach the limit of his machinery quickly; progressing that performance curve and proving invaluable to Yamaha’s factory revival will determine how long his reprieve lasts.
